Korean movie Seolgyeja (The plot (2024)) review
In The Plot, Kang Dong-won performs a fascinating performance as Young-il, the mastermind who orchestrates the assassination to make it seem like an accident. His character is a meticulous and calculating expert who manipulates every detail to create random and unavoidable accidents and conceal a calculated murder under the veil of chance.
It intensifies as Young-il takes on prominent figures. This mission is one that should not make even the smallest mistake, and Young-il designs carefully with his team members. However, as things go wrong, he finds himself in a situation where nobody can trust. Kang's acting shines as he navigates Young-il's inner conflict between his unwavering confidence and his growing exposure threat.
The Plot is a thrilling exploration of fate versus design, with Kang's captivating performance and skillful storytelling in the film blurring the line between chance and intention. After watching this film, I begin to doubt whether many of the events in the news are mere coincidences or the product of hidden intentions.
